OWL COMMUNITY
While the main focus for students will be studying to earn their degree, campus life is about learning so much more. Students get involved and find their passion within their own community. With over 30 FAU High School and more than 400 Florida Atlantic University student organizations and teams, students can volunteer, play FHSAA sports, improve their campus, make lasting friendships, and have fun!
The Owl community extends well beyond the school campus and enters the students’ homes.
The Cane Institute for Advanced Technologies
Founded by Dan Cane, The Cane Institute serves as the epicenter for research, education and technology transfer for A.D. Henderson & FAU High School. The Institute’s integrated approach to solving society's toughest problems engages the best and brightest students, faculty, and resources at A.D. Henderson & FAU High School to explore today's most complex challenges in arenas such as cybersecurity, autonomous vehicles, robotics, virtual reality, augmented reality, automation and artificial intelligence.
Community Service
Community service does more than uniting the area in which it is done, but it also educates students in understanding diversity, leadership, problem solving, and being a citizen of a larger group. FAU High School is committed to not only making a difference in the lives of all students that walk through our campus, but the lives of our neighbors and friends.
Athletics
While community is vital to a successful education, competition in the form of athletics is a healthy balance to the holistic development of an FAU Owl. The A.D. Henderson athletic program highlights the value of each component of a team and respect for teammates and opponents. The Athletic Department emphasizes sportsmanship, teamwork, respect, fun, and commitment. We offer 7 different sports and 14 different teams for our elementary and middle school students.
Clubs
FAU High School students have the best of all worlds - an intimate high school campus and a thriving research university. No two Owls are exactly the same, and we offer clubs and activities to reflect that diversity. Among the 40+ groups at FAU High School, and the over 400 groups at Florida Atlantic University, there’s something, or maybe two or three “somethings”, for everyone.

The goal of teh HESP staff is to provide a safe, nurturing, learning environment for students needing care after the regular school day. We strive to maintain the same high standards of excellence in the Henderson Enrichment School Program that are evident during the Henderson school day.
H2O To Go!
FAU Pine Jog Environmental Education Center and FAU High School offer five-day, four-night dual-enrollment courses in a residential setting for 9th through 11th graders. These institutes introduce students to scientists who are working in the field of environmental research and expose them to research tools engineered by Florida Atlantic University that are currently being tested as solutions to Florida’s environmental challenges. These programs are designed to give students a professional experience not easily obtained by the general population, particularly to students interested in life science, engineering, oceanography, and research.
