2025-2026 New Application system

The FAU High School Boca Raton Campus serves students in grades 9-12 , while the FAU High School Jupiter Campus, in partnership with the Max Planck Academy, serves students in grades 10-12. As an early college model through an immersive dual enrollment program at FAU, we are seeking students who have demonstrated outstanding academic ability, a high degree of motivation and maturity, and commitment to their community and to others. Our ideal candidates are those who aim to accelerate their education by transitioning into the university environment as high school students.
At FAU High, students receive comprehensive support as they navigate their early entry into college-level academics, ensuring they achieve the highest standards of success and accomplishment at Florida Atlantic University. On average, graduates of FAU High School earn 80-120 university credits by high school graduation. Some students even receive their Bachelor’s Degree from Florida Atlantic University before their high school diploma.
Applications open annually on September 1st, with an early round deadline of November 15th, and a final regular round deadline of January 15th.
FAU High School offers two rounds of applications annually: the Early Applicant Round with a deadline of November 15th, and the Regular Applicant Round with a deadline of January 15th. Admission decisions are highly competitive. If a student applies by the Early Applicant Round and is not initially accepted, their application will transition to the Regular Applicant Round for further review and consideration.
While incoming 10th and 11th grade transfers into FAU High School are possible, the process and recommended criteria for admissions consideration are different from students applying as freshmen. - A completed FAU High School online application includes:
- Online Application that consists of biographical information, parent information, student questionnaire and personal statement. All supporting documentation must be included in your FAU High School online application including the requested items on the application dashboard.
- Academic records are required within the FAU High School online application and are self-reported by the applicant, including completed courses, course grades, and standardized test scores. Applicants must also attach PDF copies of student report cards for from the last two years.
- Written documentation of the candidate’s discipline record for the last two school years is required. If the candidate attended two schools during that period, a discipline record must be provided from both schools.
- A minimum of three recommendation forms: two (2) core subject area teachers and one (1) principal, assistant principal, or school counselor from the candidate’s current school. Prepare for the application and have these individuals’ email addresses to submit them within the online application. The recommender will receive an email directly from the application system requesting them to complete the recommendation form. Please note that we do not accept recommendations via email (outside the application system) or in paper form.
- Admission testing is required by the Admission Committee to assess the ability and readiness of all candidates.
- The Next Generation Accuplacer and WritePlacer are available at the Florida Atlantic University Testing Center.

Students are highly encouraged to submit SAT or ACT scores in addition to the Accuplacer score. Note that the PSAT 8/9, PSAT 10/11, PSAT NMSQT, SSAT, and ACT Aspire are NOT accepted.
- The ACT Residual is not currently offered at the FAU Testing Center.

- Testing fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
- Appointments cannot be rescheduled without additional cost.
- An Admissions Interview is an important part of the application process and is required for all candidates if selected.
Cost of Attendance
FAU High School, part of the Florida Atlantic University Lab School District, operates as a public developmental laboratory school affiliated with Florida Atlantic University. As a public institution, it follows the statutes and regulations set forth for Florida public schools.
As an early college program, there are no tuition costs, lab fees, or costs for required course textbooks for students. Each semester, families are financially responsible for an FAU Parking and Transportation fee that is used for the university transportation and access roads, etc. Additionally, families are responsible for an iPad rental and orientation fee in the 9th grade.
In addition to the limited university fees, in accordance with Section 1002.32, Florida Statutes, the school may charge an activity and service fee. This annual fee is used to support a range of student activities and resources that enrich the educational experience. Families are also responsible for this fee, which contributes to the diverse opportunities available to students.

Admissions Decisions
Early round acceptance decisions will be posted to your online application account in January. Regular round admissions decisions will be posted in March, with email notifications to follow. Admissions decisions are based on a completed application, with documents, including a completed interview. Applicants who fail to provide all required documentation, including but not limited to, a personal statement, recommendation forms, and entrance exams by the admissions deadline will not be considered for admission.

Open House Info
One of the best ways to learn about the FAU High School Boca Raton and/or Jupiter Campus, in Partnership with Max Planck Academy is by attending one of our annual Open Houses. Open Houses are an opportunity for prospective Owls and families to meet our staff, learn about the programs and experiences at the FAU High School Boca Raton and/or Jupiter Campus, learn about the admission process, and participate in a Q&A.
We will offer virtual and in-person open houses this year.
We do ask that families RSVP here prior to attending. You will receive an email confirmation a few days prior to directions for the event.

The FAU High School Jupiter Campus, in partnership with the Max Planck Academy, offers two rounds of applications every school year; the Early Applicant Round (deadline of November 15th) and the Regular Applicant Round (deadline of January 15th). Admission selections are based on the competitiveness of applicants, with acceptances offered to the most competitive candidates. Note: Students who apply by the Early Applicant Round deadline and are not accepted, will automatically roll over to the Regular Applicant Round for further review. Current-year 9th grade students may apply and be considered for admission and enrollment in 10th grade, starting the following fall.

- Online Application that consists of biographical information, parent information, student questionnaire and a student resume and personal statement. All support documents must be included in your FAU High School online application.
- Academic Records are required as part of online application and are self-reported by the applicant. Final grades from 9th grade, and first semester of 10th grade, are required. Applicants must include a copy of an official high school transcript, showing cumulative GPA, standardized test scores, and all high school courses attempted (including high school courses completed in middle school).
- Recommendation forms must be submitted electronically within the application from the applicant’s current school. We do not accept recommendations via email or in paper form.
- Applicants are required to submit results of one of the following admissions tests: SAT, ACT, or ACT Residual
- The ACT Residual is not currently offered at the FAU Testing Center.
