A.D. Henderson Teachers Present Classroom Research at ISTE 2024

At Florida Atlantic Laboratory Schools, not only are students engaged in research, but so are our educators. Every year, a group of lab school educators join a Javits-grant-supported Research Community of Practice for support in conducting school-based research.

Once the projects are completed, the educators share their findings with their school colleagues at a mini symposium. They also take their findings beyond our school to the broader education community. This year, two ADHUS teachers – Jennifer O’Sullivan and Cara Pavek – presented their research findings at the International Society for Technology in Education Conference in Denver, Colorado. Their studies looked at the impact that digital reading check-ins have on supporting independent digital reading as well as the “hidden science” that is a part of everyday careers.
