Did you know that your child's brain begins to undergo changes in perception and brain development at three months? Visual experiences shape the developmental changes in infant, child, and adolescent behavior and brain function. Developmental changes in the ability to process socially relevant information from human faces influence perception and biases. Dr. Gizelle Anzures from FAU's Human Development Lab is conducting a study to determine biases in facial recognition of children and adolescents to identify the underlying mechanisms that influence brain development and perception. Dr. Anzures is conducting two studies at FAU and looking for children ages 8-10 and 13-15 to participate. If you are interested in learning more about how visual information is processed in our brains to influence our perception and bias, please see the flyer below!
