FAU | OWLS IMAGING LAB HIGHLIGHTS: OCTOBER 2022

The Owl’s Imaging Lab was featured in Microscopy Today in an article titled, "Using Benchtop Scanning Electron Microscopy as a Valuable Imaging Tool in Various Applications".

A What Is It Wednesday CT Scan of a shark tooth was taken in the imaging lab. The lab will continue to image the specimen - possible cross section picture coming soon. Make sure you visit every Wednesday for a new picture and submit your guess to the lab!

Mazen Hafez (FAU Ph.D. Candidate) from Ocean/Mech. Engineering used the OIL Scanning Electron Microscope to image proppants (round sand particles) for his dissertation research.
